Cafe Science Summer Special! – Wed 10 Aug, 6pm

Now that summer is here (although you would be forgiven for not noticing because of all the fog here in Dundee), the Cafe Science Dundee Team is busy working away on the new 2011-2012 programme. But we know you can’t wait that long for your next Cafe Science fix, so why not come along to our Summer Special Cafe Science at Dundee Science Centre (Sensation) next Wednesday, 10th of August at 6pm.

Dinosuars: fabulous facts, speculations and myths

Dinosaurs dominated terrestrial animal life for about 150 million years and we know a lot about them from fossil skeletons. But fossil skeletons can only tell us some things about dinosaurs and many basic questions remain topics of speculation and even myth eg what colour were they? Were they warm-blooded? Was Tyrannosaurus rex a vicious predator or a scavenger? Why did they die out? We will address some of these issues in this session taking place at 6pm in Infusions Coffee Shop, Dundee Science Centre, Greenmarket, Dundee.

As always our events are free and open to everyone, and there is no need to book. Doors open at 5.30, and you can see some of the displays from the DinoMites exhibition currently at Dundee Science Centre. See the Dundee Science Centre website for more information on the exhibition.
